So here’s a thing.

Apparently I’m mentioned in Sheila McClear’s memoir “The Last of the Live Nude Girls.” I just got wind of this this morning, and have yet to read the book but I’m told one of the authors friends was a fan of Karaoke Killed the Cat during our days at Piano’s.

Karaoke Killed the Cat was invited to Los Angeles last week to host Studio Number One’s “Celebrate the Future” party at One Eyed Gypsy. We were honored to share the bill with DJ Diabetic (Shepard Fairey) and DJ Pubes. SNO just sent over this fine video of us making fools out of ourselves. Yes, that’s a bagpiper you see. No, I have no comment. Watch to the end to catch some gentle Birthday Sex caressing of Lord Easy.

Thanks to Natalie Blacker, the genius behind Ladies Lotto, for masterminding this mess. Many high fives to the entire Studio Number One family for letting us do our thing, and a special shout out the Fairey’s for their hospitality. All shows should be like that one.

This Saturday, December 3rd, Big Christmas returns! We’ll be headlining the HOLLADAZE PARTY at Union Hall with our favorite trouble making friends Spirit Animal and Adira Amran. Lord Easy has been in the lab cooking up a batch new shit for us to premiere and the Lady Exclusives have managed to hold off hoards of adoring fans long enough the grace the Union Hall stage once more. Carrieoke was terribly disgusting and absolutely unforgettable. We went so hard on Friday, Monday Halloween never stood a chance. Thank you guys so much for sticking with us through a very late start and nearly catastrophic equipment failure (what do you mean you don’t work covered in blood?!) and making this show one of the wildest we’ve ever done. Seriously, bloody crowd surfing needs to happen again. Thank goodness Mo Pitz had her camera with her.

I said it on stage and I’ll say it again, we’re grateful to have so many friends and fans who let us get away with stuff like this. You guys are as crazy as we are, and we wouldn’t want it any other way. Glory be to Union Hall, thank you for always giving us just enough rope to hang ourselves with. Could not have pulled this one off without your support.

Tomorrow night (Wednesday 10/26) we’ll be returning to Cameo Gallery in Williamsburg to try and secure a new weekly show. Cameo has in fact already started holding dates to start the weekly next month, all we need to do is show up and prove we’ve worth giving the dates too. Will we see you there at 10pm with your dancing shoes on?

Then on Friday (10/28) the party you’ve been waiting for returns. Carrieoke: The Annual Halloween Blood Party drips into Union Hall at midnight. We Dexter the whole room in plastic and then cover ourselves in blood. Wear clothes you don’t give a shit about and let’s get disgusting.

Absolutely brilliant first show at Cameo. Thank you guys very much for mobilizing with so little notice, and helping us show the venue that we’d be a good match. We even had some surprise celebrity guests last night. Michael Cera and Alia Shawkat hit the stage, and Justin Long hung out in the crowd. A very pleasant surprise, icing on top of a pretty sweet cake baked up by the Karaoke Killed the Cat family.

Adding Cameo to our weekly lineup is looking promising but not yet confirmed. They have Wednesdays booked up until November so we’ll likely do a couple more one-offs there to seal the deal and then go in for the weekly. Fingers crossed, watch this space or our Facebook Page for the latest schedule updates.

Again, Thank You very much. We had a blast last night.
