Here’s the deal.

Lord Easy and I are working towards starting a new internet radio show with the good folks of BBox Radio. We dropped into the studio last Friday to record a demo and formally submit our show, dubbed Hustle & Cuss.

Hustle & Cuss will be a wild mix of our favorite music, interviews with people we think are dope and even an element of Karaoke Killed the Cat thrown in for good measure.

So you can get an idea of what this could turn into, stop by Dekalb Market one of these days. Dekalb Market is the open air market built out of re-purposed shipping containers in Downtown Brooklyn, and it’s where BBox lives. The beauty of it all is that if we pull this off right, not only do start a radio show, but we also add our first open air venue for Karaoke Killed the Cat where we can grab strangers off the street to sing with us.

I’m posting the demo so we can get some ideas from the Karaoke Killed the Cat family. Obviously, we’re still working out the kinks here but what would you want to hear on our radio show? Want to be a guest? Constructive criticism is welcome as we build this up.

Shout out to lovely Miss Carrie Wilds. She’s a dope performer, and a longtime mainstay of the Karaoke Killed the Cat team. She let us kidnap her outside of her yoga class, with no warning, and came on the test run of a radio show that she (or we, really) knew nothing about. She sang, encouraged, laughed, and let me shamelessly ask her about her boob job. She made this way cooler experience than it would’ve been without her.
