Karaoke Killed the Cat was invited to Los Angeles last week to host Studio Number One’s “Celebrate the Future” party at One Eyed Gypsy. We were honored to share the bill with DJ Diabetic (Shepard Fairey) and DJ Pubes. SNO just sent over this fine video of us making fools out of ourselves. Yes, that’s a bagpiper you see. No, I have no comment. Watch to the end to catch some...
Nice write up in "Fucked in Park Slope"
“There’s regular karaoke, there’s live band karaoke and there’s something wonderful and energetic and crazy and fantastic in between that is Karaoke Killed the Cat.” Give the drummer some! Read the full article here.

It's a big week for us.
Tomorrow night (Wednesday 10/26) we’ll be returning to Cameo Gallery in Williamsburg to try and secure a new weekly show. Cameo has in fact already started holding dates to start the weekly next month, all we need to do is show up and prove we’ve worth giving the dates too. Will we see you there at 10pm with your dancing shoes on? Then on Friday (10/28) the party you’ve...
Karaoke Killed the Cat is off tonight.
We’re taking the night off from our weekly residency at Union Hall tonight. Lord Easy and myself are in Los Angeles to DJ a wedding.
Use this time to prepare for our return, next Friday 10/28, when Carrieoke: The Annual Halloween Blood Party returns at midnight!

Michael Cera hits himself in the face with a mic at Karaoke Killed the Cat.
Thank you Cameo!
Absolutely brilliant first show at Cameo. Thank you guys very much for mobilizing with so little notice, and helping us show the venue that we’d be a good match. We even had some surprise celebrity guests last night. Michael Cera and Alia Shawkat hit the stage, and Justin Long hung out in the crowd. A very pleasant surprise, icing on top of a pretty sweet cake baked up by the Karaoke Killed...

No Karaoke Killed the Cat at Union Hall this...
There will be no show at Union Hall this Friday, Sept. 2nd. Lord Easy and I are taking a much needed night off to get the fuck outta town for Labor Day. Have a fantastic holiday weekend! Everything returns to normal Friday, Sept. 9th.
This is only kind of related to Karaoke Killed the Cat, but I just uncovered it and watched it for the first time in 5 years. In 2006, I was asked to host an African Music festival in Harlem called Mafrika. It struck my as super out of the blue, considering I’m a white boy karaoke host, but it was organized by my friend Abdel, so I signed on. It ended up being a pretty incredible event...
BOOTYOKE!
Coming at you fast and hard: August 26th, 2011. Union Hall
Best karaoke nights in New York City!
More sweet sweet loving from Time Out. Karaoke Killed the Cat was just named one of the best karaoke nights in the city! Can you dig it? Full article here.

Karaoke Killed the Cat at Mystique
Sorry it’s been so quiet on the karaokekilledthecat.com front my friends. Chris Goldteeth just returned from a much needed vacation and Lord Easy was too busy doing everything else to update the site. We’re reunited and firing up the grill. First things first, I will be back at Union Hall this Friday! Huge shout out to Easy for keeping it rolling while I’ve been away, and to you...

In case you missed the first Big Christmas show, we put together our very first retrospective. Enjoy this in depth look back at our illustrious career to date.
Glory be to Taylor Toole for putting this together, and a huge shout out to the homies from Nine 11 Thesaurus. It was a pleasure to share the stage with you. Kudos to Union Hall as well for allowing us to repeatedly make a mess of their...
